It's All About Dogs &
Blonde Cocker Spaniels
June Wollenberg & Her "Blonde" Poverty Peak Cocker Spaniels
Page still under construction
June Wollenberg
bred "Blonde" Cocker Spaniels under
her prefix "Poverty Peak" for about 50
years. Her Cockers have the
reputation of superior temperaments
and are loved by all who have the
good fortune to have lived, or still
live with them. June passed away in
May of 2004. Her two lines continue
with Fay & Rick Maurice (Poverty
Peak South)
and with myself:
carrying on the pursuit
of perfection in breed standard with
temperament the uppermost goal.

Fay & Rick Maurice's loving indulgence)
Poverty Peak's Just Patience

days apart in June 2003.
June had her hands
full...Literally!
In this photo, it's Patience's

June & Madeline
February 17, 2003
The day I brought Madeline home to me
June obtained Pandy as a pup from Lynda Doolittle who was a very close breeder friend. When June died, Lynda took
Pandy home to live with her. Sadly, Lynda died almost one year after June passed and Pandy then came to me. A few
months ago, I met my neighbors' cousin, Suzanne. She was bowled over when she met Pandy because she had met
Pandy & June at a book signing many years ago and had fallen in love with her. Suzanne is a rescuer of old Cockers &
eventually asked if she could take her. Now, it was a weird thing. I mean, how could I "place"
The Pandemonium?!
After thinking about it I felt strongly that Pandy would be very happy in a home with only one other Cocker instead of
a pack of 5 or 6, so off she went with Suzanne & her husband and now lives a life of luxury and indulgence such as she
has never known before. She is thoroughly happy and has made for a happy household all round.
I have no regrets at parting with The Pandemonium.
I think she was meant to enrich Suzanne's life as she's enriched so many before her.

Pandy & June's relationship extended
beyond breeder/owner/handler. Pandy
became the protagonist for three
delightful children's books that June
wrote.
Pandy also accompanied June to
numerous schools, nursing homes &
events, entertaining all she met with
stories of her misadventures & endearing
Love of Life as a Blonde Cocker.
